Question about using TiVo with a FTA receiver??

Hi all,

I am new to FTA
I have a Pansat 3500 SD that I just got and hooked up last week. It is working very well!!

I just got a Series 2 TiVo to use with my 3500 SD.

I connected the TiVo and during setup I used the phone line to get programming guide listing. That way I got through the setup screens for the TiVo. The TiVo seems to be working.

My question is: will TiVo charge me a monthly fee???? I did not sign up for their service?

If anyone knows the answer it would really help me.

The first 3 months are free of charge even do you did not sign by downloading the service it will be charge thru your phone bill...so expect a larger bill in about 3 1/2 to 4 months from now....$12.95 plus taxes land line state tax government fees etc etc etc.....so around $18 dlls more....

call them up and cancel it.........................tell them you did not know what you were doing.....they will probabaly still charge you for early termination..........get ready for that one..........next time read the fine print....
