Rochus, Dabul to meet in Hall of Fame semi
NEWPORT, N.Y., (UPI) -- Olivier Rochus of Belgium moved on to the semifinals of the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport, R.I., Tuesday by ousting Raven Klassen.
The fourth-seeded Rochus needed about an hour to dispatch the South African qualifier in straight sets 6-1, 6-3.
Also advancing to the semis was Argentine Brian Dabul, who ousted Jamaican Dustin Brown 6-4, 6-4.
Dabul and Rochus will meet in the semifinals Saturday.
The remaining two quarterfinal matches -- featuring American Mardy Fish vs. Frank Dancevic of Canada and Ryan Harrison of the United States vs. Britain's Richard Bloomfield -- are scheduled for Friday.
