A young man is dead after a shooting in Scarborough on Friday night.
Police were called to an apartment building located at 70 Stevendale Drive just before 8 p.m. on Friday. The building is in the Markham Road and Lawrence Avenue area.
A man in his early 20s was found at the scene with gunshot wounds to his head and neck. He was taken away by ambulance but died on the way to hospital, police said.
Police have not yet released the man's name and there is no word yet on suspects.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area prior to or shortly after the shooting to contact them at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
