Ski Channel Launches Dec. 25, IP-Prime Keeps Enrolling Customers

Those behind the Ski Channel said they will launch the programming service on Dec. 25 to 15 million digital U.S. households. The network said it has signed multi-year distribution agreements with DIRECTV and Verizon FiOS TV. The channel will offer mountain sports content featuring everything from Warren Miller films to television series --- SES AMERICOM said its IP-Prime IPTV video delivery service has signed up more than 65 telcos in 31 states. Among those customers, more than two dozen are commercially delivering IP-Prime to subscribers today, with another dozen expected to turn on by the end of the year, SES said.
