Hi there. I am trying to help my mom, she has Windows XP and installed is Windows Movie Maker. I gave her a Sony DCRHC47E camcorder and I showed her how to make movies. When I was there everything was fine. The last time I tried to upload movies to Movie Maker, the screen where you capture the Picture to upload the movie was black instead of showing what is busy being copied. Can anyone tell me what the problem could be?

Ok I've just played about and i think you need to 1 open WMM 2 select capture3 Video setting click next4 at the bottom of capture method there is a box that says show preview make sure the box is ticked, you should get your video backHope this works All the best RR

Check the user's guide out of your camera to see what 's the output Format video (Mpeg, Mpeg-2...) of your camcorder. According to the Microsoft Web Site, Windows Movie Maker do not support MPEG-2 video format.
