Strasburg to read 'Letterman' Top 10 list
NEW YORK, (UPI) -- Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg has signed on to present a Top 10 list on "Late Show with David Letterman," CBS announced.

"In his Major League Baseball debut Tuesday, Strasburg, 21 years old and last year's No. 1 overall draft pick, struck out 14 batters, allowed only four hits and two earned runs and didn't walk a batter in the Nationals' 5-2 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates," the network said in a news release. "Strasburg's 14 strikeouts are the most in a major league debut since J.R. Richard struck out 15 for the Houston Astros in 1971."

Strasburg is to appear on Thursday's edition of "Late Show."

Also lined up as guests are singer-actor Harry Connick Jr. and actor Jaden Smith, star of the film "The Karate Kid." Musician Peter Wolf is expected to perform.
