U.K. to help stranded vacationers

LONDON, Britain's Civil Aviation Authority says it is making arrangements to help tourists stranded by the collapse of a major travel service.

The Daily Telegraph said Saturday that the CAA was using its Air Travel Organizer's Licensing program to arrange for air travel for vacationers who had booked trips to Turkey and Greece with Goldtrail Travel Limited.

Goldtrail ceased operations Friday, affecting an unspecified number of vacationers who had arranged their package vacations through travel agents.

The CAA said flights out of Turkey would largely run as normal; however, vacationers in Greece were warned to expect flight changes.
