MANCHESTER, Mass., (UPI) -- The United States romped to its seventh straight Curtis Cup title Sunday, splitting eight singles matches with Great Britain & Ireland.
Sunday's title was set up by a great performance Saturday, when the United States swept all six matches. The final tally was United States 12 1/2, GB&I 7 1/2.

Jennifer Johnson secured the cup for the Americans in the day's third match, when she bested Rachel Jennings, 5 & 4, give the United States the 10 1/2 points it needed for victory.
