What camcorder or camera is the best for shooting videos and taking pictures?

I am contemplating of getting a camera with the ability to shoot good quality videos. These videos are more for presentation. Otherwise, should I just get a camcorder? I really like to rather have 2 in 1 but I am unsure of what brand or make is the best.

Personally I would get a JVC Everio series hard drive camcorder which gives you the best of both worlds as you can take still photos on a separate HD card while the excellent quality video is on the hard drive.
