You need all the drivers. Just like you would for Windows. Get all the drivers for every piece of hardware you have. This includes printers, video cards, network cards, etc.
Ubuntu comes with a 'library' of drivers for common hardware.When detected and not on-board, it will ask if you want to download the 'proprietary' drivers.This assumes you at least have a NIC card & Internet.
