Where can i download laptop drivers for Linux?

Im using Linux Ubuntu my problem is on the Acer Support Site.. all of the drivers are only for Windows. ThanksIm using Acer AspireAcer Aspire 6530 Laptop

Drivers for most hardware come built in to Linux.

MANY laptops have proprietary chips for some things like modems; in which case there may NOT BE a linux driver available. You would, in many cases, have to write your own driver. In some cases, you can use the windows drivers with a linux "wrapper".(Have a similar problem with my Toshiba laptop, no drivers for modem or wireless.)

Acer do not support Linux on most of their computers. Find out what hardware you are looking for then search for the drivers on the Ubuntu forums.In alot of cases Linux drivers for proprietary hardware is unavailable due to lack of demand.
