E evaohell New member Sep 26, 2010 #2 The DDR5 memory on the video card has nothing to do with the DDR3 memory on the motherboard.So if the motherboard has a PCI-E slot and the video card is PCI-E, then it will work.

G GEO New member Oct 1, 2010 #5 Depends on the PCI slot. GDDR is backwards compatible so a GDD3 graphics card will work on a GDD3 PCI slot but not the other way around.
