There is NO V-Link
At the present time and the foreseeable near future there is no standalone N3 fix for fta receivers. If and when the time comes that there is one, everyone here will know about it, files will be available here for all supported receivers. So do not spend money on sites that say they have a bin file to fix it, or a site promising a standalone fix.
During the week of Feb 22, a weather forecaster is being released that will be compatible with many VS units... there are "other" purposes for this unit.
It will not be called V-Link or W-Link, and will not look like the one in the photoshopped pic that is being posted on many sites.
It will be marketed as a WS Weather Forcaster...not sure on a name yet
If someone offers something called V-LINK...RUN!...and if they are selling something for VS boxes for $40...RUN!!
You want to listen to all these 3rd parties, so be it, get stung...your fault. If you buy something called V-link, blame yourself when it doesn't work.
This real unit will be attached to the internet.... as that is where it will gets the weather information from. All premium, all adult, a handful of ppv ... HD is to be added within a few weeks.
The real units will retail in the $100-$110 price range. The reason for a slightly higher price is going to be due to quality, more available channels, sats, etc.
You should expect little to no issues with freezing, etc, on the actual WS Weather Forcaster as that has been worked out
Expext to see 5-10 PPV movies daily, as well as all the adult channels
This will be plug and play, no punching in codes, serials, no freezing, 2 2-3 second glitches were seen in 30 hours.
Pay serious attention to the week of Feb 22 as a target date that they are expected to land, they may not be ready to ship until late that week.
