Arianespace Flight Postponed, Ciel Launch on Track

Due to logistics difficulties in French Guiana, Arianespace said it has postponed its next Ariane 5 launch, initially scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 10. A new launch date will be announced soon, the launch services provider said. The mission will lift two satellites - Hot Bird 9 and W2M - for European operator Eutelsat --- It appears that the Dec. 10 mission for the Ciel-2 satellite launch remains on track. Ciel-2 is being launched for Ciel Satellite Group in Canada. Capacity aboard the satellite has been contracted to DISH Network.
