PROGRAMMING: More PBS HD for DIRECTV, Comcast California Gets Star India
On Wednesday, DIRECTV added local HDTV feeds for PBS stations in five additional markets, bringing the total number of markets with PBS HD locals from the company to 29. The new markets include Atlanta, Baltimore, Cleveland, Omaha, Neb., and Lincoln, Neb. DIRECTV also launched an HD feed of the Fox affiliate in Savannah, Ga. --- Star, News Corp.'s media and entertainment company in Asia, said it will launch Star India Plus across Comcast's digital cable platform in California starting today
