Toronto police say three people were arrested Wednesday afternoon following an alleged gas bar robbery.
Police originally said the suspects fired at officers, but later clarified and said the shots were fired into the ground.
No one was injured in the robbery in the Adelaide and Niagara streets area.
The shots forced nearby Niagara Street Junior Public School into a hold and secure situation.
Police say the officers did not return fire, and two men and one woman have been arrested.
The hold and secure has been lifted for the school.
