Hur grabs 1-shot LPGA Classic lead

GALLOWAY, N.J., (UPI) -- M.J. Hur carded a 7-under-par 64 Saturday, coming close to a course record in posting a one-shot lead after three rounds of the ShopRite LPGA Classic.

Hur's total of 11-under-par 131 was one stroke shy of the 36-hole tournament record and good for one-shot advantage over Paula Creamer, who notched a 6-under 65 on the Bay Course at Dolce Seaview Resort & Spa in Galloway, N.J.

Hur, 20, advanced to the top of the leaderboard with a birdie on the par-three 15th and ended her day with a birdie on the final hole to register the first 36-hole lead of her LPGA Tour career.

Creamer, meanwhile, holed a long birdie putt on the 18th after five straight pars to claim sole possession of second place in her first start since April thumb surgery.

Katherine Hull registered an 8-under 63 to gain a share of third place at 9-under 133, where she was joined by Ai Miyazato (67).

Hee-Won Han (67) and Inbee Park (68) finished one stroke further back at minus-8.
