2 men missing after ice-fishing trip
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CALGARY (CBC) - Police were using a helicopter and a ground search team Wednesday to locate two men reported missing in eastern Newfoundland, after they did not return from an ice-fishing trip.
The pair, both 62, left their homes in nearby Seal Cove on Monday to go fishing in the Brigus Junction area.
They were supposed to stay at a cabin that night and return by noon on Tuesday. The RCMP were called when they did not arrive.
A ground search team has spread out in the area to find the men.
RCMP told CBC News that the men were carrying a cellphone when they left, but that authorities have not been able to make contact.
