Three Winnipeg police officers were assaulted in separate incidents Monday.

The first happened just before 7:30 p.m. when officers were sent to a residence in the 500 block of College Avenue to assist paramedics with an uncooperative 18-year-old woman.

The woman was acting aggressively and refusing to cooperative with paramedics and as police tried to intervene, she allegedly assaulted a 28-year-old male officer.

The officer received treatment for minor upper body injuries, police said.

The woman is facing one count of assaulting a peace officer and of breaching her probation order.

She is in custody at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.

Police did not say why paramedics were dealing with her in the first place.

Later the same day, at approximately 9 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute in the 400 block of Perth Avenue. While arresting a 41-year-old man, both male officers were injured.

The officers, aged 31 and 33, received treatment for upper body injuries.

The 41-year-old man has been charged with assault and obstructing/resisting a peace officer.

He has been detained in custody at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
