A third person faces charges in the death of a man found in a snowbank in northeast Edmonton last month.

Edmonton resident Gary Joseph Gladue, 39, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the slaying of Christopher Allan Pirie.

Pirie, 32, was found dead on Jan. 28 in an alley near 114th Avenue and 82nd Street. The cause of death has not been released.

Gladue is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 7.

Earlier this week, Robert Fontaine, 54, and David Cameron Cardinal, 34, were both charged with second-degree murder. Fontaine was also charged with offering indignity to a dead body and possession of a weapon.

Pirie's slaying is Edmonton's fourth homicide of 2011.
