AMC-21 Closer to Launch, Centronics Supports MDUs

Arianespace, which is preparing to launch SES AMERICOM's AMC-21 satellite, said the spacecraft is now installed on top of its heavy-lift launcher at the Spaceport in French Guiana. AMC-21 will be orbited along with Superbird-7 for the fifth Ariane 5 mission of the year.

Centronics, a distributor of audio, video and accessory products for the security, commercial and residential markets, is offering free help in the design and implementation of small and large MDU satellite systems for both DIRECTV (including the new HD Wide Band) and DISH Network. Centronics said the help design includes either new systems or help with an upgrade for existing systems.

ViaSat said during its fiscal first quarter the company netted new contract awards totaling $205.9 million and revenues of $153 million.
