ATI DRIVER???????!!!! helppp?

So I need to update my ATI driver for sims 3 to work.. except I don't have all the updates my computer needs.. could this effect the ati driver to mess up my system?Also I did this"Even if all critical updates have been installed on your computer, optional updates might be available for ATI Graphics Driver that have yet to be installed. Ati is not a Microsoft company, so you would half to go to there website to ask questions.

Windows can't update ATI/AMD drivers. Go to amd.com and download the radeon drivers.

Never ever get windows update to update your graphics hardware if you want the latest AMD(ATI) drivers heres the link http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx drivers are updated monthly near the 3rd week of the month

Try to use "ATI Drivers Update Utility" to update your computer drivers automatically.. It knows which drivers are compatible with your computer.Google for it to try.
