ATI driver update help?

Well, my ati driver was out of date so I downloaded the all in one updater from ati.com, and it says now that the catalyst is 10.7, but the driver is still 8. something, I am using a ATI 5400 HD series driver, is this the most up to date driver, and if now how do I update it, and lastly, is there a software that will automatically update it like driver genius but free. Thanks.Oh yeah, I'm using windows 7 64 bit

Did you uninstall the previous drivers before installing the new ones?Go to the website of ati and find the correct drivers... take out the old and then RESTART/Install the new drivers.. restartGet back to me.

why pay for driver updaters when you can go to control panel then device managerand do it yourself for free.

catalyst control centre is a utility its not the driver so they will have different numberstoo install simply run the thing you downloaded it will automatically overwrite the old version

I've just updated my Win 7 x64 ATI driver for HD4000 series also. It appears that the drivers for the 4000 and 5000 series are the same. Display Drivers are still version 8.753.0.0000. If you got the same version then I would say that it's the latest.
