BSkyB Readies $600 Million Bond Issue

On Tuesday, British Sky Broadcasting released details about a private placement with institutional investors that would raise about $600 million (U.S.) for the U.K. satellite TV company
The notes that will be issued pay 9.5 percent interest and mature in November 2018. The offering is expected to close on Nov. 24.
BSkyB said net proceeds from the offering would be used for general corporate purposes. In addition, the company said it may use the net proceeds for the refinancing of existing debt and for acquisitions of businesses or other asset
