DIRECTV Continues to Expand HD Locals

DIRECTV on Wednesday launched local HD channels for customers in Colorado Springs-Pueblo, Colo.; Davenport, Iowa-Rock Island/Moline, Ill.; and Dayton, Ohio.
With the launches, DIRECTV said it now offers local HD channels in 103 markets. The effort covers nearly 85 percent of U.S. TV households.
DIRECTV said that by the end of the year it will provide local HD broadcast channels in more 121 cities, representing about 88 percent of U.S. TV households.
