On Wednesday, the International Bureau at the Federal Communications Commission granted authorizations to DIRECTV for the operation of four fixed satellite-service (FSS) Ka-Band earth stations. In addition, the bureau granted DIRECTV a waiver of certain Ka-Band antenna performance testing requirements.
