HD channels won't work on Xtreme?

I scanned 82 today and came up with alot of HD channels, but they are all scrambled in green. I figured it would still come through as a standard signal..
Do you have to have an HD box to see the channels?

hd channels wont work on extreme you have to have a HD receiver to get them viewsat 9000 you will get them
