How to attempt to copy downloaded files to save into main harddrive?

My goal is to see if it's possible to copy or download music files from USB hardware,such as flashdrive or mp3 player device to save or to somehow add the files to my main harddrive?

Steps1)plug in USB, and wait for the hardware to get discovered2) go to the location of the driver3)copy and paste it on your hard drive (click file and press ctrl + c)

Some MP3 players require software, namely Microsoft Zune. You'd need the software to extract the files just go to zune.net, But if you've got a Sansa MP3 player or a Ipod then you can just go to My computer, Click on the MP3 player and copy the files from the mp3 player and place them anywhere on your computer. C:\Documents and settings\<current user>\My Documents\My Music.
