Ok, I know what dvd cd and blu ray is, but I dont understand the drivers. If I buy a burner, can I only burn, or can I also read and install things off disks. Also, what is the difference between a driver and burner. Finally, if I get a blu ray driver (or burner, idk), can it also do dvd and cd?

I would get into detail, but I am really busy at pc-spot.us/forums right now. Please visit the site the real time help, and the friendly staff will explain everything there.

Usually burners are only compatible with Cd's, but depending on the model also dvd's. A blu-ray player can USUALLY play dvd's, but a dvd player can never play a blu ray. neither can play cd's, unless it says otherwise

A burner is also a reader, so yes, you can read and install things off of it.A "driver" is the software that translates between your PC and the actual device.A blu-ray burner also do DVD and CD, if it says it can. Just look at the front for the various logos.
