If my computer came set up in RAID 0 set up, can I change to RAID 1?

I have two SATA hard drives in my computer that originally came set up in RAID 0.I had a failure to one of the drive and lost all data. My backup program did not work properly.So know I have a "new computer". Could I change the RAID configuration to RAID 1?And how do I do that?

If the controller is capable of RAID1, yes. You'd set that up in the BIOS. How you do it depends on how it's set up - you'll have to look.
