I want two 80GB hard drives to run essential programs like the OS quickly in RAID 0. Additionally, I want two 1Tb hard drives to save all my media safely in RAID 1. Can this be done on a single PC with 4 drives?
yes... but I don't know if you can do it separately. I know there is a RAID 0/1 configuration where you stripe 2 drives and then mirror those two drives with either 2 other drives or one large drive.
