Iridium Subs Jump to 309K

Iridium said at the close of the third quarter it was serving 309,000 subscribers worldwide, an increase of 37 percent when compared to the same period last year.
Net subscriber additions increased 47 percent during the first nine months of this year, compared to the same period in 2007, the company said.
Revenue in the third quarter was $88.2 million, compared to $74.2 million in third quarter 2007, an increase of 19 percent. Iridium said it experienced growth in revenue in all of its vertical segments, which are land-based, maritime, aviation, machine-to-machine and government
