Is it better to wait for the blu ray and hd dvd war to be over. In order to buy a new laptop or pc.?

Don't fall for the Blue-Ray bit.It is not pratical, unless it can be copied, and too many people don't want a disc that only plays.It'll be a flop, like those disposable DVDs and the TV-Internet.

Don't buy a computer yet!!!!!!!!!!!!Microsoft is coming out with Vista(OS), and most of the computers out there(older than 2 years) wil have a tough time being compatable, if at all. Wait until the new year at least.

normal dvd burner right now.HD or BluRay players and disks or coslty. They have not been adapted by the market.I would wait and not let big corporations dictate us what to use.hope this helps.

none of em come in PCs yet. Only sony has a blueray burner in there VAIOs. just get a regular dvd burner.. casue.. your gunna be waiting for a while
