Have a new computer only with USB ports,Loader 27.07 serial port area only said COM1,2,3 or 4. Also buy a R ShK USB to serial cable to use the r342 cable provided With the recever (pnst 2700). NEED HEEELP!

u mean RS232 cable ? if it looks like the one on that image http://images.tigerdirect.ca/skuimages/large/M501-1032-main6.jpgjust plug it the serial end at the receiver, the usb at the PC and select COM1 - should work. At least there is no risk to toast the receiver
