SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - A man fell from the Springfield Marriott at 1500 Main Street around 8:55 Saturday evening and survived.
According to Dennis Ledger, the spokesman for the Springfield Fire Department, the man was not a guest at the Marriott.
Security was trying to talk to him. He evaded them by breaking a window and got up to the roof.
Apparently, he tried to climb down the Christmas lights, but the lights broke and he fell 10 stories.
He is recovering at Baystate Medical Center.
