A man in his 40s is in critical condition after an assault in southwest Calgary Saturday evening.
Police were called to the 200-block of 12 Avenue S.W. at about 5:10 p.m. MT to complaint that a man had been attacked and was lying unconscious in an apartment building.
The victim, identified only as a man in his 40s, was taken to Foothills Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
An adult male was located at another apartment building and taken into police custody. Charges have not been laid.
The motive for the attack is not clear, police say, and the relationship between offender and victim is not known.
