A man was shot and killed outside a York Region banquet hall Friday night.
York regional police said he was shot in the chest at about 11 p.m. outside the Paradise Banquet Hall on Jane Street, near Highway 407.
The man, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead in hospital.
Witnesses told CBC News a stag party was going on inside the hall, with "bikers" in attendance.
"We haven't confirmed that," said Sgt. Rhonda Corsi, adding nobody was in custody.
Police are asking anyone who was at the party earlier in the night to contact them.
