DENVER - Police say a man upset about missing flight at Denver International Airport told the gate agent his luggage was already on the plane and it contained a bomb.

At 7:05 p.m. on Saturday police arrested 49-year-old Sergie Berejnoi of Sandy Utah at DIA. He was scheduled to travel on SkyWest Airlines from Denver to Salt Lake City.

But, when he arrived at the departure gate the door to the plane was already closed for takeoff.

"He became irate and stated he had a bomb in his checked luggage, which was already on the aircraft," said Denver Police spokesman Sonny Jackson.

Denver Police were called to the gate and Berejnoi was arrested and jailed.

The plane was brought back to the gate and searched for explosives.

None were found and after an hour delay, the plane continued on to Salt Lake City.
