Edmonton police are saying little after one of their officers, earlier reported missing, was found and placed on administrative leave.
Police say Const. Ronnie Chiu, 46, contacted them Thursday after hearing through the media that efforts were being made to find him. Chiu is to be re-assigned to administrative duties pending an internal review, police said.
The Missing Persons Unit was involved in a search for Chui when he failed to show up for work Monday, something out of character for him.
No other details are being released about the matter.
