CHICAGO, (UPI) -- Ian Kinsler stroked a two-run double to key a big sixth-inning rally Tuesday and the Texas Rangers downed the Chicago White Sox 9-6.
The Rangers scored five times in the frame to take control of the contest. Craig Gentry scored a pair of runs and Michael Young chipped in with two hits, an RBI and a run scored for the Rangers, who broke a four-game losing streak.
Justin Smoak smashed a solo homer and ended with two RBI. Josh Hamilton contributed three hits with a run scored for Texas.
The White Sox were led offensively by Paul Konerko and Gordon Beckham, both of whom knocked in a pair of runs.
