More Local HD, US Open Coverage from DIRECTV
DIRECTV launched more high-def local TV markets this week. The service has HD local programming available for customers in the Johnstown-Altoona, Pa., DMA from WTAJ/CBS and WJAC/NBC. In Augusta, Ga., DIRECTV launched local high-def services from WJBF/ABC, WRDW/CBS and WFXG/Fox. Also, in Chattanooga, Tenn., locals are available from WTVC/ABC, WDEF/CBS, WDSI/Fox and WRCB/NBC.
DIRECTV has partnered with USA Network, CBS and USTA to offer the U.S. Open Interactive service. The offering, now in its third year, offers tennis fans expanded interactive coverage. New this year: Three extra days of coverage from CBS, available through Sept. 1.
