More Local HD Markets for DIRECTV
More local high-def markets were announced by DIRECTV Wednesday.
For starters, DIRECTV said it launched local HD programming for its customers in the Lincoln, Neb., area. Stations available include KLKN/ABC, KOLN/CBS and KHAS/NBC.
In Rochester, N.Y., DIRECTV began delivering high-def feeds of WHAM/ABC, WROC/CBS, WUHF/FOX and WHEC/NBC.
With the additions, DIRECTV said it now offers local HD broadcast channels in 79 cities, representing nearly 77 percent of U.S. TV households.
