NEWS BRIEFS: ILS Prepares for Inmarsat Launch
International Launch Services has scheduled the lift-off of the Inmarsat-4 F3 satellite, a mission that's taking place at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, for Aug. 19 (Monday, Aug. 18 in North America). The satellite, built by EADS Astrium in France, will be carried into space on a Proton/Breeze rocket.
The Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) is a few weeks away from its CEDIA EXPO 2008, taking place in Denver Sept. 3-7. As part of the show, the association is offering for the first time hands-on Learning Labs. With the support of ADI, the labs will enable users to engage in real-life installation experiences in addition to instructor-led classroom training. More on CEDIA can be found at: CEDIA EXPO Custom Electronic Trade Show Training Education.
