The Federal Communications Commission granted a request made by TerreStar Networks for an extension of the company's satellite launch milestone, to June 2009. TerreStar's operational milestone was extended to August 2009 --- In the World Teleport Association's 2008 Top Teleport Operators survey, GlobeCast achieved a high ranking in both the "Global Top Twenty" and "Independent Top Twenty" categories --- FastWeb, an Italian fixed telecom provider, signed an agreement with Eutelsat via its Skylogic broadband subsidiary that will allow the company to extend coverage of its broadband services through satellite connections --- Marie-Pierre Bloch has joined the Satellite Industry Association as director of communications.
