First he was on DISH. Now he's on DIRECTV. The Barack Obama presidential campaign has paid for long-form video content (seven minutes) that has been downloaded to the “Showcase” area on DIRECTV's DVR platform, for viewing by the customer. (DIRECTV added that it continually speaks with the media departments for both candidates.) At DISH Network, the Obama campaign had a paid advertising channel available to customers of the DBS service.
