This VIEWSAT CHANNEL MASTER project is one of the most accurate you will find...
Using CHANNEL MASTER you can modify these files to more than 45 Satellite Receivers!
*** DO NOT FORGET ~ THIS IS A FILES FORUM, PLEASE POST NO REPLIES HERE ***
* 07-02-08 Creation date.
* FTA Satellite Channels and more 110 & 119
* Created for Southern California, but you can easily modify to your area with CHANNEL MASTER.
* Most Call Letters are replaced with very helpful descriptions instead! This means WNBC is now NBC New York. And KCET PBS is now PBS 28 L.A. etc. Old Call Letters are useless unless you want to Google a lot because you forgot which Call Letters belong to each station (when Call Letters are shown).
Be sure to checkout the "FAVORITES"!
True channel use/descriptions are now included for almost all channels. Even the "Test Channels", "SOON" and experimental channels (that will soon be pressed into service) are listed. Find them listed in the "Favorites" as "CHECK THESE".
Details: Raw actual Channel List captured with a Coolsat 4000. The file(s) were then downloaded to file and CHANNEL MASTER. After many modifications these files are now converted to Viewsat and ready.
Channel descriptions at the DN online guide are extremely poor... what do three or four letters tell you? The channels in these files were researched at Lyngsat, Dbstalk and channel lists I have created in the past. Many channels here are new and not listed or updated.
Finally, this FTA list is not perfect and there is always room for improvement.
