What camcorder should I buy for online videos?

I want to start putting up family videos on a website. I'm looking to buy a good camcorder under $300 that I can use to upload videos to my computer. I just need to know what type of camcorder I should use. Or if you have some brand suggestions that would be great too. Thanks!
