What type of wireless router do i need to get my Macbook online?

Hi, I just purchased a Macbook, I've read that almost any wireless router would get me online. I own a PC desktop though, but would ANY wireless router get my Macbook online? I know that there are G series routers & N series routers, but what series should i get to get my Macbook online? Does it even matter?

Apple sells routers called AirPorts, but any router will work. If I was in your position, I'd buy a Netgear WGR614. They work very well, they're not expensive, and they take three seconds to set up. I know this from experience with them. If you choose to get a WGR614, don't use the manual to set it up. Al you have to do is connect your Internet source to port 4 and it should get you online immediately.
