Where can i download drivers for my laptop that is compatible with Linux-based OS?

I'm switching to ubuntu but i dont know yet where to download the drivers for my laptop.

the live cd will allow you to play with linux before you install. so while you test drive linux plug everything in, just to see.I suggest linux mint. it already comes with flash and java. and is media friendly mint is based off ubuntu.

System>>Administration>>Restricted drivers. Enable it. It will download and install automatically.

 

[laptop expert]

Install Ubuntu. It will load the drivers it needs - you don't have to do that, in fact it would be a lot better if you ignore such questions, until you have the program installed, and you have specific issues to respond to!
