World's oldest person dies

JACKSONVILLE, TX (KLTV) - The world's oldest living person, Eunice Sanborn of Jacksonville, passed away early Monday morning, at the age of 115.

Sanborn boasted world's oldest person only a few short months, following the death of a french nun, in early November.

According to her family, the US Census Bureau incorrectly recorded her birth year as 1896, rather than 1895. The organization that tracks and verifies super centenarians listed Sanborn as 114.

Born August 26, 1896, Bessie Cooper of Georgia, is now the world's oldest living person.
